The Reading Wizard
UGI has made reading come alive by creating a character called
"The Reading Wizard." Ageless and all-knowing, the Wizard has
learned through the power of his books. The Wizard, who makes guest
appearances at book distributions in elementary schools throughout
UGI's service territory, is featured on a UGI-RIF bookmark, a RIF
brochure and in a children's coloring book.
"The Reading Wizard" has been greeted with excitement and enthusiasm by children, teachers and administrators. His presence has deepened parental involvement in helping children improve their reading skills. He also has been requested to appear at book fairs, libraries and similar literacy-oriented activities.
