UGI offers a diversified natural gas rate structure to meet the particular needs of each company. Contact the Major Account Rep in your area to discuss specific rate options.
Rate N (General Services - Non-Residential
Rate NT (General Service - Non-Residential Transportation)
Typical Customer Usage: Up to 4,000 Mcf per year
These firm rates are for small volume commercial and industrial customers who use natural gas for any purpose. For those customers utilizing natural gas as the primary energy source under Rate N for space heating and under CIAC for space cooling, a total space-conditioning discount is available for all Rate N usage. Service on these rates is provided year-round.
Rate CIAC (General Service - Commercial and Industrial Air Conditioning)
Rate CT (General Service - Commercial and Industrial Air Conditioning Transportation)
Typical Customer Usage: Up to 10,000 Mcf per year
These firm rates are for commercial and industrial customers who use natural gas for space cooling. Service on these rates is provided for the April through October billing periods. UGI offers free feasibility assessments of natural gas cooling applications and rebates for installations.
Rate DS (Delivery Service)
Typical Customer Usage: 3,000 - 20,000 Mcf per year
This firm rate is for medium volume customers who wish to transport their own natural gas by using a marketer to manage their gas supplies. UGI offers optional transportation services to aid in system balancing on a daily and monthly basis via No Notice Service (NNS), Monthly Balancing Service (MBS), and pooling. A service agreement of no less than one year is required.
Rate LFD (Large Firm Delivery Service)
Typical Customer Usage: 9,125 - 250,000 Mcf per year
This firm transportation rate is for larger volume commercial and industrial customers who use gas for any purpose. The customer must elect a Daily Firm Requirement (DFR) for not less than 50 Mcf per day and must meet load factor requirements. A service agreement of no less than three years is required.
Rate XD (Extended Large Volume Delivery Service)
Typical Customer Usage: Above 250,000 Mcf per year
This transportation rate is available to large customers who desire to transport their own gas to the UGI system on a firm and/or interruptible basis. For firm service, the customer must elect a Daily Firm Requirement (DFR). A prospective gas volume usage of at least 250,000 Mcf per year is required.
Rate CDS (Cogeneration Delivery Service)
Typical Customer Usage: Above 3,000 Mcf per year
This rate is available to customers who wish to use natural gas to generate electricity and/or produce a combination of mechanical and heat energy where mechanical energy production represents no less than 25% of total energy output. A service agreement of no less than three years is required.
Rate IS (Interruptible Service - Small Volume)
Typical Customer Usage: 650 - 200,000 Mcf per year
This service is flexibly priced to customers based upon their alternate fuel capability. Customers may be interrupted manually or automatically (using an automatic temperature-controlled switchover device). Manual customers must consume a minimum of 5,250 Mcf during the April through October billing periods, and automatic temperature-controlled customers must consume a minimum of 650 Mcf annually. A service agreement for no less than one year is required, and indicated annual natural gas usage must not exceed 200,000 Mcf.
Rate IL (Interruptible Service - Large Volume)
Typical Customer Usage: Above 200,000 Mcf per year
This service is flexibly priced to customers based upon their alternate fuel capability. Customers must have indicated natural gas use of at least 200,000 Mcf per year. Customers must consume a minimum of 50,000 Mcf during the April through October billing periods. A service agreement for no less than one year is required.
