There are several factors that may affect your natural gas bill. In addition to having your current month's gas bill available, it is helpful (if it is available) to have the prior year's bill for reference. The following sections appear on your UGI bill, and can help you understand why your bill may be higher than you expected.
Past Bill Information Did UGI receive your last payment?
Current Bill Information Look at the commodity price. This amount may change quarterly, based on the price UGI pays to its natural gas suppliers.
Billing Period Is the number of days in the billing period about the same as other billing periods? Is the billing period (time of year) similar to the other billing period?
Meter Information Look at the PRESENT READ to determine if the meter read was an actual read or an estimated read.
Messages from UGI This section contains information about your current price to compare, budget billing details, and more.
Average Temperature / Usage Information Was the daily temperature cooler for the current period when compared to the same period for the prior year?
