Plan helps customers manage winter heating bills
Wilkes-Barre, PA (August 11, 2005) – To help its customers meet rising natural gas prices this coming winter, PG Energy announced today it is urging customers to enroll now in the company’s Budget Payment Plan.
“More than 50 percent of a residential customer’s annual usage runs from December through February,” says Patricia Peters, manager of PG Energy’s Customer Information Center. “Our program gives more than 20,000 enrolled customers a more predictable and steady payment system that allows them to better manage natural gas bills during the peak winter season.”
Under the Budget Payment Plan, PG Energy will calculate each customer’s bill based on their usage and then divide it into 10 equal payments, beginning in September and ending in June. Any difference between the sum of a customer’s budget payments and actual bill amounts is reflected in the customer’s July gas bill.
Customers interested in PG Energy’s Budget Payment Plan should act immediately in order to receive a 10-month payment schedule. To enroll in PG Energy’s Budget Payment Plan, customers should contact the company’s Customer Information Center at 1-800-432-8017 or visit www.pgenergy.com.
