UGI Announces Montour Township Infrastructure Project; Updates Progress on Ongoing Bloomsburg Project

UGI Utilities, Inc. will begin a natural gas main replacement project in Montour Township, Columbia County, beginning Wednesday, November 11. This project is part of the Company’s multi-year infrastructure betterment initiative.
The natural gas main replacement project will install approximately 850 feet of natural gas main and take place on Surry Lane. This project will also renew gas service lines to 14 homes along the route.
Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During construction, residents will experience minor traffic delays. Flaggers will direct traffic during construction. The project is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.
In addition, UGI is in the final stages of an ongoing infrastructure project on East Street (Route 11) in Bloomsburg. UGI is currently installing new gas main from East 4th Street to East 2nd Street and completing service renewals in that area.
The East Street work is part of a larger PennDOT road reconstruction project. Restoration is scheduled to begin immediately after the completion of UGI’s work.
