The project is expected to last approximately three months. Natural gas main replacement construction is scheduled to be performed from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting.
UGI’s Nescopek project will replace approximately 3,000 feet of cast iron, wrought iron and steel main with contemporary materials. Residents and drivers traveling in area should note that lane restrictions will be in effect during the project, and should consider alternate routes. Motorists driving through the construction zone are urged to watch for roadwork signs, and to follow the directions of flag personnel.
“UGI recognizes Nescopek residents will be inconvenienced during this project. We will work to complete construction in a timely manner,” Robert P. Krieger, vice president of operations, said. “This project is part of UGI’s continuing commitment to provide safe and reliable natural gas service to our customers and our communities. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we make this long-term system improvement. We also thank Nescopek officials for their cooperation and assistance in the planning and execution of this project.”
