UGI Announces Paving Project in Huntingdon Borough

01 Aug 2016

July 29, 2016 – UGI will begin a paving project in Huntingdon Borough beginning August 2, 2016. The firm of G. O. Hawbaker, a contractor to UGI, will repave the 200, 300, and 400 blocks of Mifflin Street, as well as the 300 and 400 blocks of Washington Street in the Borough.

The project is expected to take approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting.  Repaving work will be conducted between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the two week construction period.

Residents and drivers traveling in area should note that lane restrictions will be in effect during the project, and should consider alternate routes. Motorists driving through the repaving project zone are urged to watch for roadwork signs, and to follow the directions of flag personnel.

“UGI recognizes residents will be inconvenienced during this project. We will work to complete the paving project in a timely manner,” Robert P. Krieger, vice president of operations, said. “We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding, and we thank Huntingdon Borough for their cooperation in the execution of this project.”
