UGI Announces Plymouth Infrastructure Project

31 Jul 2020

UGI Utilities, Inc. will begin a natural gas main replacement project in the Borough of Plymouth beginning Monday, August 3. This project is part of the Company’s multi-year infrastructure betterment initiative.

The project will install approximately 2,500 feet of natural gas main on the following streets:

  • East Main Street between Vine Street and Washington Street;
  • Elm Street between East Main and Washington Street;
  • Washington Street between East Main Street and Conrad Lane;

The project will also renew gas service lines to 15 homes and businesses. In addition, a new pressure regulator station will be installed on Carver Street.

Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

During construction, residents will experience traffic delays and lane closures. Parking also will be restricted on those blocks during construction hours. Flaggers will direct traffic during construction.

UGI recommends motorists traveling in the area consider using alternate routes. Traffic is expected to be impacted in both Plymouth and the nearby Borough of Larksville.

The pipeline project is expected to be completed by early October. Road restoration is expected to be completed in the fall following completion of the project but may be delayed based on weather conditions.
