UGI Electric Working to Restore Service to Customers Affected by Storm
20 May 2019
UGI Electric crews are working to restore power to approximately 1,900 customers who remain without power due high winds and severe thunderstorms that crossed through the area Sunday evening. Originally, approximately 3,500 customers lost power as a result of the storms.
The outages are comprised of more than 60 separate incidents, many of which involve fallen trees and downed wires. UGI expects to have most customers restored to service by the end of the day Tuesday, with isolated cases reaching into Wednesday.
All available crews are deployed assessing damage and making repairs. UGI has requested assistance from other electric utilities to aid in the restoration effort.
