UGI Employees Support Central Pennsylvania Horse Rescue through Motorcycle Charity Ride
18 Aug 2017
UGI employees recently found a unique way to support the Central Pennsylvania Horse Rescue, Lewisberry, as a dozen riders participated in the 3rd Annual UGI Employee Motorcycle Charity Ride.
More than $1,400 was raised by the riders, who went “boots up” at the Willow Street Harley-Davidson and traveled to Lees Landing, Port Deposit, MD.
Central Pennsylvania Horse Rescue is a 108-acre farm that serves as an animal sanctuary. Horses at the Rescue have been saved from abuse, neglect or slaughter. All horses at the Rescue are “pasture boarded” – there are no stalls on the property.
UGI’s Motorcycle Charity Ride began in 2015 following a suggestion from several employees. Past rides have supported the Harrisburg SPCA and the Speranza Animal Rescue, Dillsburg.
