Anthony Rymar, manager of environmental engineering for UGI Utilities, Inc., has been appointed to the Berks County Solid Waste Authority by the Berks County Board of Commissioners.
The Berks County Solid Waste Authority is charged with managing solid waste and recyclable materials in an environmentally safe, reliable and efficient manner; protecting the health and welfare of the residents of Berks County; and providing a means where Berks County can effectively and efficiently manage and implement the Solid Waste Plan.
Rymar joined UGI Utilities as an environmental engineer in 2008, and was promoted to his current position in 2014. Prior to joining UGI, Rymar served as a project engineer with several environmental engineering firms.
Rymar has been recognized for his environmental work and has received the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in 2012.
