UGI Experiencing Electric Power Outages

Wilkes-Barre, PA – UGI Utilities – Electric Division (UGI) is currently experiencing several electric service outages, caused by a line of violent thunderstorms, affecting  approximately 1,000 customers. UGI crews are currently in the field and are performing restoration  efforts. Service restoration efforts will extend into Wednesday because of the extent of the  damage.

UGI reminds customers and community members to be safe and to always avoid downed power lines.

Customers encountering downed power lines are advised to contact UGI immediately at 1-800-276-2722.

If you are a residential customer with special needs and have an emergency,  please contact your  regional 911 center. Special needs customers calling UGI to report an outage should identify  themselves to the customer service representative. UGI can  provide information to assist you in  connecting to your local 911 center.
