UGI Utilities, Inc., expressed its gratitude to the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County earlier today for being named the 2014 recipient of the organization’s Founders Award for Distinguished Leadership in Economic and Community Development.
Robert Beard, president and CEO of UGI Utilities, accepted the award on the behalf of the company’s more than 1400 employees at the EDC’s Annual Breakfast Meeting conducted at the Lancaster County Convention Center & Marriott at Penn Square.
UGI received the award for its long history of support for community and economic development projects in Lancaster County.
“UGI has been providing natural gas delivery service in Pennsylvania for more than 130 years,” Mr Beard said. “At UGI, we recognize the value natural gas brings to economic development. We appreciate being recognized for our efforts.”
