UGI PNG Accelerates Restoration Efforts in Dunmore

05 Dec 2014

READING, PA – December 4, 2014 – UGI Penn Natural Gas (UGI PNG) personnel are in process of restoring service to customers in the 300 and 400 blocks of Smith Street in Dunmore this morning.  Crews are going door-to-door to turn-on service and re-light appliances.  UGI PNG personnel will be in Dunmore throughout the day on Friday to complete service restoration to remaining affected consumers.

UGI PNG reminds customers that under no circumstances should they attempt to turn on their own natural gas service.

Customers are advised that having an individual on the property able to allow UGI PNG personnel entry will speed the service restoration process.  If a customer is not home, UGI PNG will leave a card on the door providing contact information.

Customers who cannot be at home and need to communicate special access instructions to UGI PNG are asked to the Contact Center at 1-800-276-2722.  Customers are reminded that if they smell gas they should immediately leave the building and call UGI PNG at 1-800-276-2722 from a safe location.

UGI PNG thanks customers for their continuing patience and understanding and will continue to provide additional information as it becomes available.
