READING, PA – December 4, 2014 – UGI Penn Natural Gas (UGI PNG) continues to work on restoring natural gas service to customers affected by today’s incident in Dunmore, PA. Some 80 customers were originally out of service due to the incident. Customers on Foote, Laurel and Smith Streets were affected.
Currently, the 22 affected UGI PNG customers on Foote Street and the one customer on Laurel Street have had their natural gas service restored.
UGI PNG crews are currently working to restore service to some 30 customers located in the 300 block of Smith Street. Service restoration for these customers will not occur until after midnight. UGI PNG crews are also working on the 400 block of Smith Street, where 27 customers are out of service. Crews will work through the night on this section of natural gas main. Service restoration in the 400 block of Smith Street is expected to occur during the day on Friday.
UGI PNG customers without natural gas service are reminded that the American Red Cross has opened a shelter in the Dunmore Community Center in the 1400 block of Monroe Avenue.
