Reading, PA (September 22, 2005) – For the third consecutive year, UGI Utilities ranks highest in customer satisfaction among gas utilities in the eastern United States according to J.D. Power and Associates. UGI was the only gas utility in the country to receive the top score in its region three years in a row.
The 2005 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction performance among the 56 largest U.S. gas utility providers. The study measures customer satisfaction in four regions of the country on five key factors:company image, price and value, billing and payment, customer service, and field service.

J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information services firm headquartered in Westlake Village, CA. The 2005 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study is based on more than 12,000 telephone interviews with U.S. residential gas customers. Responses were collected between April and June of 2005.
