UGI Ranked Highest in Customer Satisfaction by J.D. Power

Reading, PA, September 18 – UGI Utilities ranks highest in customer satisfaction among large natural gas utilities in 2013 in the eastern United States, according to J.D. Power.
The 2013 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction performance among the 74 largest U.S. gas utility providers. The study measures customer satisfaction in four regions of the country on six key factors: billing and payment, price, corporate citizenship, communications, customer service, and field service.
UGI President and CEO Robert F. Beard said the recognition is a testament to UGI’s commitment to customer service.
“Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is a key goal at UGI Utilities,” Beard said. “This demonstrates that our customers recognize and appreciate our commitment to customer satisfaction. Every UGI employee contributed to this accomplishment and should be proud of their efforts.”
For this study, UGI Utilities overall satisfaction score was based on ratings from customers in UGI Utilities – Gas Division, UGI Penn Natural Gas, and UGI Central Penn Gas. Together, the UGI companies serve 586,000 natural gas customers in 45 counties in Pennsylvania and one county in Maryland.
