Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 31, 2012 – 8:50 p.m.) – UGI has restored electric service to a total of 17,433 customers impacted by Hurricane Sandy as of 8:00 p.m. today. Currently, approximately 59 UGI Electric Division customers remain without service. Crews will continue working until service is restored to all customers.
UGI Electric Division customers who are without power and have not yet reported the outage should call UGI at 800-276-2722, or may report an outage at www.ugi.com/outages. Customers can also check the Outage Center for the most recent outage information.
UGI customers currently experiencing power outages caused by the effects of Hurricane Sandy are in the following communities:

- Kingston Borough
- Courtdale Borough
- Nanticoke City
- Monroe Township
- Lehman Township
- Kingston Township
- West Wyoming Borough
- Union Township
- Pringle Borough
- Luzerne Borough

- Forty Fort Borough
Safety is a priority at UGI. We remind customers and community members to always avoid downed power lines and stay away from any electrical equipment that is partially or totally submerged in water. In the event of an electrical emergency, customers are advised to contact UGI Electric immediately.
Customers without power who depend on electric-powered medical equipment for life-support for themselves or a family member, are advised to purchase a back-up power supply or arrange a plan to stay with family or friends.
If you are a residential customer with special needs and have an emergency, please contact your regional 911 center. Special needs customers calling UGI to report an outage should identify themselves as such to the customer service representative. UGI can provide information to assist you in connecting to your local 911 center.
