UGI To Host Vendor Days Exhibition

Reading, PA (May 16, 2008) – The newest technologies and equipment in gas field operations will be on display during Vendor Days 2008, to be held here May 21-22 at UGI Utilities’ Gas Training Center facility on Canal Street, between 4th and 5th streets.

More than 20 companies from Pennsylvania and other states will be represented.Products and services in five subject tracks – high pressure and large diameter plastic pipe, new technologies and equipment, meters and regulators, corrosion control, and locators, and valves and accessories – will be showcased.

“This is an educational forum for our Construction & Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Gas Supply, Marketing, Corrosion, and Customer Information Center employees,’’ Peter Terranova, Vice President – Operations, said of UGI’s fifth annual Vendor Days event. “Everything on display here is new, high-tech, state-of-the-art equipment, information and operational procedures.’’

Employees from UGI Gas Division and Penn Natural Gas, as well as neighboring regional utilities and pipeline companies, are expected to attend.
