UGI Utilities, Inc. will perform road restoration work on Taylor Avenue and adjoining streets in the Hill Section of Scranton, as well as on Crown Avenue and adjoining streets in the south side of the city starting Monday, April 23 and continuing for approximately three weeks.
Residents and commuters traveling through the area are asked to be alert for temporary road closures, detours and parking restrictions. The road restoration will occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
This road restoration work follows completion of UGI facility improvement projects. The facility improvement projects will help ensure the safe and reliable supply of natural gas to UGI’s Scranton-area customers.
UGI restores roadways at the conclusion of its projects as weather permits. Road restoration is typically a two-step process. A base restoration is done at the immediate conclusion of the project. A permanent restoration is completed after the ground settles.
