UGI Unveils New Corporate Initiative

Reading, PA  – UGI Utilities, Inc. President and CEO Robert F. Beard unveiled UGI-1, a company-wide initiative focusing on the people, tools and processes aimed at keeping the Company strong today and even stronger tomorrow.

As part of this effort, UGI changed its corporate brand and image to a single name. The single identity will replace UGI Gas Division, UGI Penn Natural Gas, UGI Central Penn Gas and UGI Electric Division. The new logo features a black U, blue G and gray I.

Beard noted that company uniforms, vehicles, signage and communications materials will all bear the new logo. But the initiative is far broader than that.

“We have experienced tremendous growth and see significant potential in the future,” Beard stated. “In order to take advantage of these opportunities and the ensuing challenges they present, UGI must take advantage of synergies, equip our employees to succeed, and enhance our communications.”

Beard stressed the logo change is symbolic of a much larger initiative within the Company. UGI Penn Natural Gas joined the UGI family in 2006 and UGI Central Penn Gas was purchased in 2008. While the various entities have witnessed substantial change and integration, the goal of the UGI-1 initiative is to continually improve all aspects of the company’s operation to be positioned for future growth and success.
