UGI Utilities Names New Chief Information Officer

Thomas N. Lord has been appointed the new Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for UGI Utilities, Inc.
In his position, Lord will be responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of all UGI information technology functions, including data management and security, help desks, communications networks, program development and computer system operations. He will provide leadership in day-to-day operations and direct the transition and implementation of new systems and technology.
Lord brings more than 30 years of experience and a breadth of knowledge in information technology to UGI. He has held senior-level positions in several companies.
Lord was most recently Director – Enterprise Architecture and Information Systems at TECO Energy, Tampa, Florida. While there, he was instrumental in establishing and leading key enterprise projects in support of the company’s electric and natural gas businesses, including enterprise resource planning, mobile workforce management and customer relationship management and billing. Earlier in his career, Lord held senior information technology positions at Lucent Technologies, Special Data Processing Corporation, and British Telecom.
Lord holds a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from Queen Mary College, University of London. He, his wife Mary, and son Nathaniel will be re-locating to the Reading area.
