16 Dec 2011
Reading, PA (December 16, 2011) – UGI Penn Natural Gas is currently upgrading a natural gas line that runs from Shickshinny to Hunlock Creek.
As part of this process, UGI is venting natural gas from the line into the atmosphere. As a result, the odor of natural gas is prevalent in the area. Venting occurred last night and is occurring again for several hours today.

UGI Penn Natural Gas serves approximately 158,000 customers in 13 counties throughout northeastern and central Pennsylvania, including customers in and around Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Williamsport.
