What Communities Should Expect During UGI Construction

03 May 2021

UGI’s highest priority during construction is safety. In advance of any planned UGI projects, notification is provided regarding construction schedules to residents of the communities where UGI projects will occur. Additionally, UGI continues to work under enhanced COVID-19 safety protocols.

As part of UGI’s natural gas main betterment initiative, UGI will replace service lines to customer homes as needed. When replacing service lines, UGI personnel will need to gain access to customer residences.

Construction projects typically take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless otherwise noted. Projects may cause temporary parking restrictions and traffic congestion. UGI works collaboratively withRoad Restoration municipal officials to minimize traffic and parking issues associated with
construction and to provide specific detour and lane restriction information to ROAD RESTORATION residents and commuters traveling through project work zones.

NATURAL GAS CONVERSION OPPORTUNITY
UGI’s infrastructure replacement and betterment projects provide a unique opportunity for homes and businesses within project areas to convert to natural gas. UGI encourages customers along project routes to contact the company at 800-276-2722 if they are interested in converting to natural gas during construction.
