Natural Gas for PA Businesses

Rate N (Non-Residential) & Rate NT (Non-Residential Transportation)

Typical Customer Usage: Up to 3,000 to 4,000 Mcf per year

These firm rates are for small volume commercial and industrial customers who use natural gas for any purpose. Rate N customers purchase commodity deliveries from UGI while Rate NT customers purchase commodity deliveries from a marketer.

Rate DS (Delivery Service)

Typical Customer Usage: Up to 3,000 to 4,000 Mcf per year

This firm rate is for medium volume customers who wish to transport their own natural gas by using a marketer to manage their gas supplies. UGI offers optional transportation services to aid in system balancing on a daily and monthly basis via No Notice Service (NNS), Monthly Balancing Service (MBS), and pooling. A service agreement of no less than one year is required.

Rate LFD (Large Firm Delivery Service)

Typical Customer Usage: 9,000 – 200,000 Mcf per year

This firm transportation rate is for larger volume commercial and industrial customers who use gas for any purpose. The customer must elect a Daily Firm Requirement (DFR) of at least 50 Mcf per day and must meet at least a 50% annual load factor requirement. A service agreement of no less than two years is required.

Rate XD (Extended Large Volume Delivery Service)

Typical Customer Usage: Above 200,000 Mcf per year

This transportation rate is available to very large customers who desire to transport their own gas to the UGI system on a firm and/or interruptible basis. For firm service, the customer must elect a Daily Firm Requirement (DFR). A service agreement of no less than three years is required.

Rate IS (Interruptible Service)

Typical Customer Usage: 500 – 200,000 Mcf per year

This service is flexibly priced to customers based upon their alternate fuel capability. Customers may be interrupted manually or automatically (using an automatic temperature-controlled switchover device). Manual customers must consume at least 5,000 Mcf during April through October and automatic temperature-controlled customers must consume at least 500 Mcf per year. A service agreement for no less than one year is required.
