Get a $1,200 Boiler Rebate

Purchase and install a 94+ AFUE natural gas boiler for your home heating system and receive a $1,200 rebate from UGI.*

If You Have Any Questions, Please Call 1-844-317-6122 or Email Savesmart@ugi.com.

What does 94+ AFUE mean?

AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency and is used to measure how much of your fuel the appliance converts into usable heat. A 94 AFUE converts a full 94% of your fuel into usable heat. For this rebate, UGI accepts a boiler that is 94% or higher (94+). The higher the AFUE, the higher the efficiency because less gas is lost in the heating process.

Higher Efficiency Boiler Features Can Include:

  • electronic ignition, which eliminates the need to have the pilot light burning all the time
  • new combustion technologies that extract more heat from the same amount of fuel
  • sealed combustion that uses outside air to fuel the burner, reducing drafts and improving safety

How to Get Your Rebate:

1. Check Your Eligibility

This program is currently available to existing and new UGI gas residential customers in Pennsylvania with a rate class of R, RT, N and NT. UGI gas customers in Maryland are currently not eligible.

Please read full terms and conditions on applications before purchasing any equipment. Email savesmart@ugi.com if you have any questions.

2. Start Shopping Around

Before purchasing your boiler, check the label for an efficiency level of 94% or higher in order to qualify for the rebate.

3. Find a Contractor

Contact an HVAC contractor to install your boiler and connect the equipment.* UGI has provided an HVAC Contractor Locator Tool to help find trusted contractors in your area.

4. Claim Your Rebate

Now that your new energy efficient boiler is installed, apply online or print an application to mail in to claim your rebate.

The application must be submitted along with a copy of an invoice showing: Manufacturer, Model Number, Quantity, and Total Price Showing Full Payment Made.

*Program is open to UGI residential gas customers in Pennsylvania who install qualifying residential equipment prior to September 30, 2025, pending available funds. Applications must be submitted within 90 days of installation.

Customers who are income-qualified may be eligible for free, comprehensive usage reduction services. To learn more about enrollment in UGI’s Low Income Usage Reduction Program (LIURP), please call 800-UGI-WARM.

Boilers vs. Furnaces

The difference between a boiler and a furnace is that a furnace uses forced air through ducts to heat your home while a boiler heats water and pumps it through baseboard radiators or radiant floor systems throughout the home.
