Get a Boiler Rebate

Purchase and install a 94+ AFUE natural gas boiler for your home heating system and receive a $1,500 rebate from UGI.*

What does 94+ AFUE mean?

AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency and is used to measure how much of your fuel the appliance converts into usable heat. A 94 AFUE converts a full 94% of your fuel into usable heat. For this rebate, UGI accepts a boiler that is 94% or higher (94+). The higher the AFUE, the higher the efficiency because less gas is lost in the heating process.

Higher Efficiency Boiler Features Can Include:

  • electronic ignition, which eliminates the need to have the pilot light burning all the time
  • new combustion technologies that extract more heat from the same amount of fuel
  • sealed combustion that uses outside air to fuel the burner, reducing drafts and improving safety

How to Get Your Rebate:

1. Check Your Eligibility

Click here for our zip code list to verify your eligibility for UGI rebates. At this time, rebates are only available to UGI South and UGI North customers. UGI Central customers are not yet eligible for these rebates. Please email savesmart@ugi.com if you have any questions.

Boilers vs. Furnaces

The difference between a boiler and a furnace is that a furnace uses forced air through ducts to heat your home while a boiler heats water and pumps it through baseboard radiators or radiant floor systems throughout the home.
