UGI Offers Rebates to Help Customers Make Efficiency Upgrades

UGI customers are making energy efficient upgrades and receiving money from UGI to help pay the costs.

Morgan Certech in Hanover Township, Luzerne County, just received more than $25,000 as part of the UGI Electric SaveSmart Business Rebate program.

Morgan Certech manufactures injection molding components for the casting industry and serves the automotive, medical, industrial, gas turbine, and aerospace sectors. The SaveSmart rebate is helping offset the cost of a new variable-speed air compressor. This upgrade is expected to reduce the company’s annual electricity use by 270,811 kWh.

UGI offers similar rebates for natural gas customers. In the last program year, more than 140 commercial and industrial customers received rebates for installing energy efficient commercial equipment. Customers can apply for a rebate at www.UGI.com under “Ways to Save.”
